Vimeo is an US video portal that allows users to create, upload and share videos as well as create and participate in live digital events. Vimeo is mainly used by professional video makers, artists and companies.

The BURG operates its own Vimeo account under the domain: vimeo.com. Vimeo uses cookies to store user behaviour and provide information. The company also obtains user data through cookies by embedding videos that have been uploaded to Vimeo.

For what?
The Vimeo account can be used to upload public and private videos in a quality of up to 8K with stereo or surround sound in order to share them via a link or embed them on the BURG website. Vimeo live events can also be created. This function is suitable for online and hybrid events with a high number of online participants. It is possible to record the screen or webcam via Vimeo. Vimeo has its own small video editor where clips can be edited and text and audio can be added.

For whom?
Anyone can get their own free Vimeo account. The BURG account can be used by trained BURG internet editors on request. Instructions for setting up a Vimeo live event can be found here. [Datei:Vimeo_Live-Event_-_Handreichung_BURG].

For the free account, users must register with their first and last name and an email address. Registration is also possible via Facebook or Google, but Vimeo accesses different data, such as friends lists and data from these accounts. The login for the BURG account is provided to trained internet editors by the BURG press office.
